2016 Fiat 500 Turbo | 16" Lightweight Forged Monoblock · Gloss Candy Red

Model: L262916

Seven-and-a-half kilograms gives this compact wheel a far stronger identity than simply calling it “lightweight.” The 16×8 monoblock keeps its proportions tight around the Fiat 500 Turbo, while a sharp star-like spoke layout leaves enough open space for the small face to remain clean. Candy Red does the opposite visually: its deep translucent color makes the wheel impossible to mistake for a conventional silver or black aftermarket design.

    Engineering Notes

Finished mass is the cleanest technical story this project has.

Each 16×8 wheel is listed at 7.5 kg, with an 800 kg load rating. Those two published figures provide considerably more substance than broad claims about forged-wheel responsiveness.

Fitment is equally compact and specific: 4×98 PCD, ET20 and a 58.1 mm center bore at all four corners. Existing Engineering Notes state that the hub-centric bore is machined for this application without adapter rings.

Candy Red Is Built in Layers

Surface color deserves more explanation here because Candy Red is not a conventional opaque paint.

Current page content describes a bright base beneath a translucent red candy layer. Light passes through the upper color and reflects back through it, which explains why the wheel shifts from bright red highlights to deeper burgundy tones across recessed surfaces.

That layered finish is also unforgiving. Imperfections beneath the translucent coating remain easier to see than they would beneath an opaque solid color, so preparation of the forged face matters before the final color stages begin.

Five open spokes give the finish enough broad surface to show its depth without making a 16-inch wheel visually crowded.

    Quality Verified

Candy finishing places special emphasis on consistency through spoke edges, recesses and the barrel. Color depth changes naturally with surface angle, but coating quality still needs to remain uniform across the full wheel.

    • CMM dimensional inspection on PCD, bore & offset
    • Multi-stage candy finish, inspected for flawless coverage
    • Dynamic balancing on every wheel
    • Load-rated to 800kg per wheel

    Result

Compact scale is part of the appeal.

The wheel does not try to make the Fiat look visually larger than it is. Sixteen-inch proportions remain appropriate to the small hatchback, while the 7.5 kg finished weight gives the set a genuine engineering talking point.

Candy Red supplies the personality that diameter deliberately does not. Light changes the color across every spoke and recess, giving the simple monoblock form far more depth than a flat solid red finish would provide.

    Small Wheel, Exact Hub

4×98 and CB58.1 are central to this project.

Rather than adapting a generic wheel through rings, the current Engineering Notes state that the bore is machined hub-centric for the application.

    Why 16×8 Works

Increasing diameter is not the only way to make a custom wheel visually effective.

On a compact car, a 16-inch format keeps the wheel, tire and body in proportion. Eight inches of width gives the forged face enough substance without turning the package into an oversized styling exercise.

    Square Fitment Keeps It Simple

16×8 ET20 repeats at all four corners.

No stagger is needed because this build is defined by low finished mass, exact hub fitment and finish execution rather than a deeper rear wheel.

    Candy Finish Rewards Simple Geometry

Large, uncomplicated spoke surfaces show the translucent color particularly well.

As the wheel rotates or lighting changes, each spoke moves through brighter and darker red tones, allowing the finish itself to provide visual depth.
