Mesh geometry is considerably denser than the split-spoke design used on the 2016 S5. Multiple branching sections form a layered radial pattern, making the center feel more technical and visually deeper. Glossy gunmetal keeps enough light on those surfaces for individual branches to remain visible.
Gloss black is reserved for the independent rim. Because both finishes are dark, separation comes from tone, reflection and component depth rather than an obvious color contrast. Exposed hardware bridges the two areas and stops the outer section from disappearing completely into the barrel.
Published wheel weights are 11.9 kg front and 11.7 kg rear. The rear figure is marginally lower despite identical width, and there is no need to invent an explanation for that difference—the verified values are already more useful than a generic lightweight claim.
