1996 Chevrolet Impala — Chrome Gold Mesh 2-Piece Forged with Chrome Barrel (24" Staggered Donk-Style)

Model: RC1227-1XT (2490 / 2410)

Chrome Gold lets the mesh remain metallic rather than covering the spoke network with opaque gold paint. Reflections continue through the warm center, while the separate barrel forms a colder mirror-chrome ring around it. Functional hardware joins both forged sections and keeps the two-piece construction visible between the finishes. Customer-converted 5×127 / CB78.3 hub geometry makes the wheel mechanically specific to the modified Impala underneath it, not simply visually suited to one.

    Engineering Notes

Dual electroplating defines the surface treatment.

Forged sections are polished before copper and nickel foundation layers are applied. Final plating then divides the wheel into two metallic tones: bright chrome around the barrel and gold-tinted chrome across the mesh center.

Light remains visible beneath the gold tone instead of being blocked by an opaque painted layer.

Forged 6061-T6 center construction and a separate barrel form the structural two-piece assembly, joined with functional hardware and pressure-tested after fastening.

    Chrome Gold Preserves the Mesh

High spoke count depends on light and shadow for definition.

Chrome Gold allows those changes to remain active across the face. Individual spokes brighten and darken according to angle while retaining the warmer gold tone.

Bright chrome around the barrel provides a cooler reference, helping center and rim remain distinct despite both being highly reflective.

Converted Hub Geometry Makes the Wheel Truly Bespoke

5×127 / CB78.3 belongs to the vehicle’s modified hub arrangement.

Those dimensions are not being presented as original 1996 Impala geometry.

Machining directly to the confirmed conversion means custom hub work becomes part of the forged wheel specification rather than an afterthought handled with an unrelated wheel.

Large-Rim Character Has Real Numbers Behind It

Staggered 24-inch sizing includes a wider 24×10 rear.

Finished mass is stated at approximately 17.8 kg per wheel, with a 750 kg load rating.

Those figures give the Donk-oriented appearance a useful engineering reference beyond diameter and plating.

    Quality Verified

Chrome and Chrome Gold require separate adhesion and tone checks, while dimensional accuracy, assembly torque, sealing and hub-centric machining remain independent production requirements.

    • CMM dimensional inspection (PCD / CB / runout)
    • Dynamic balancing on every wheel
    • 2-piece hardware torqued to spec & pressure-tested for seal
    • Forged 6061-T6, hub-centric machining verified
    • Multi-layer chrome plating adhesion & mirror QC on barrel
    • Multi-layer chrome gold plating adhesion & tone consistency QC on center
    • Final finish inspected under controlled lighting before packing

    Result

Chrome Gold gives the mesh warmth without losing the reflections that make a dense center interesting. Bright chrome creates a full mirror perimeter around it. Functional hardware remains visible at the genuine component joint.

Converted hub geometry then makes the wheel just as specific mechanically as it is visually.

That combination gives the Impala a much stronger product identity than simply fitting a large gold wheel.

XINGTU forges to your exact submitted fitment—including hub-conversion specs—with chrome, chrome gold, chrome color, brushed, painted, or polished finishes all available.

    5×127 / CB78.3 Is Converted-Hub Geometry

Mounting dimensions belong to the modified hub configuration used for this car.

They should not be treated as original Impala specifications.

Hub Conversion Needs Verification Before Wheel Production

Converted PCD and center-bore dimensions become machining inputs.

Actual dimensions should be confirmed before the forged center is released for production.

Wider Rear Sizing Carries the Stagger

Rear sizing increases to 24×10 while retaining the same mesh design.

Proportion changes through wheel section rather than through a completely different rear face.

Hub-Centric Machining Remains Relevant After Conversion

Custom PCD does not remove the need for accurate radial location.

CB78.3 corresponds with the confirmed converted hub.

Finish and Hub Geometry Are Independent Choices

Chrome Gold / bright chrome can be used on another confirmed Impala configuration without copying the same converted hub.

Two-Piece Hardware Remains Functional Under the Finish

Visible fasteners join the forged components and remain subject to assembly requirements regardless of plating.

  • FAQs
    xiajiantou

    1. Is the gold center painted?

No. Gold tone comes from an electroplated finish.

    2. Why does Chrome Gold have more depth than opaque gold paint?

Metallic reflection remains visible through the plated gold tone.

    3. Is the barrel finished in the same color?

No. Bright mirror chrome is used for the barrel.

    4. Is the wheel genuinely two-piece?

Yes. Forged center and barrel are separate structural components.

    5. Are the visible perimeter bolts functional?

Yes. They join the two forged sections.

    6. Does 5×127 represent standard 1996 Impala fitment?

No. It belongs to the converted hub used for this build.

    7. What center bore is used?

    78.3 mm.

    8. What load rating is specified?

    750 kg per wheel.

    9. What finished wheel mass is stated?

    Approximately 17.8 kg per wheel.

    10. Can the dual-plated finish be retained with another hub specification?

Yes. Mounting geometry and finish treatment can be developed independently.
